The instrument is a scalable module-based Serum Work Area (SWA) solution for a wide range of in vitro diagnostic testing of clinical chemistry and immunochemistry assays. It is designed for high throughput laboratories. This system contains a single
Cobas e801 analytical unit which is a high throughput immunochemistry module which performs a broad range of heterogeneous immunoassay tests.

This unit, and associated support equipment, was originally requisitioned NEW by the Indiana State Blood Bank in 2020 and used for approximately 12-months. After decontamination (certificates available upon request) the unit was sold to the University of Wisconsin- Parkside. It was not installed after delivery to campus and deemed surplus to instructional needs.  Reserve is set to recoup our acquisition cost.
