Auction #179486 - Water Meters, Brass, Used/Unclean

 

Used and Unclean brass water meters and related parts. Related parts refers to parts originally attached to the meters that may now be detached in container (e.g., bolts, cast iron meter bottom freeze plates, plastic internal meter chambers and plastic register heads). All meters are 5/8", 3/4", 1", 2", 3" in size. All meters are stored in two (2) 20 foot storage containers.
The ESTIMATED WEIGHT of the lot is 80,000 
lbs (see additional terms below concerning weighing and final payment based on the final gross weight).





Weighing and checking will need to be complied with in accordance with the following: All tare (unloaded) and gross (loaded) weights must be obtained via a scale tested and certified by either a State or Municipal weights and measures official. The awarded bidder shall pay the scale usage fee. All weights shall be witnessed by duly authorized City personnel. All weighing, tare and gross, shall be conducted within the 5 borough City area or Nassau/Western Suffolk County area. All weight receipts must be signed (and name printed) by the awarded bidder or his duly authorized agent and by the City of New York personnel witnessing each weighing.




Weight receipts must be emailed to NYCSurplus@dcas.nyc.gov by the awarded bidder, or faxed to the Office of Surplus Activities,
Attn: Salvage Appraiser at (212) 313-3390 within 24 hours or one business day after the load is removed.

**The awarded bidder shall be required to pay a security deposit of $25,000. This security deposit shall be paid via an increase to the winning bid amount. Immediately upon the auction ending, DCAS/OSA shall increase winning bid amount by $25,000. The total amount, including this security deposit, shall be paid by the awarded bidder in accordance with all auction terms and conditions. In the event that the total gross weight removed valuation (final valuation of the total lot based on winning bid price per pound x gross weight removed)is less than the winning bid price plus the security deposit of $25,000, the Public Surplus online service shall, upon authorization by DCAS/OSA, issue a refund to the winning bidder for the difference. In the event that the total gross weight removed valuation is more than the winning bid price plus the security deposit of $25,000, DCAS/OSA shall invoice the winning bidder for the difference.**

NOTICE TO ALL BIDDERS: All quantities are approximate. It is strongly recommended that bidders inspect the material at the site prior to submitting bids. Inspection is by appointment only. Please contact the above location for an appointment to inspect property.



All water meters and related parts contained in two (2) 20 ft. Containers must be removed regardless of whether the final gross weight is higher or lower than the estimated weight. Some related parts may contain non-metal content.



Awarded bidder is responsible for providing all labor and equipment necessary to remove property purchased on this proposal. City agency has no responsibility and is not required in any way to assist with removal.

All material offered in this auction is being sold in an "AS IS" and "WHERE IS" condition.




We cannot ship item(s). Bidders may contact a local shipping company to pick up, package and ship their item(s) at their own cost.
